Application of an Acid Wash

If bought from us, the acid wash is the red chemical.

  1. If the tiles have been laid very neatly and there are no traces of grout or tile glue on the surface of the tiles this step may be avoided.
  2. Use DILUTED between 1:10(very dirty surfaces) or 1:30
  3. Always follow the manufacturer's recommendations when cleaning the tiles, as the acid used to clean the tiles can leave marks on the tiles if not diluted sufficiently.
  4. Apply to the surface with a sponge
  5. Allow 30 seconds contact time
  6. Scrub well using a firm bristle broom
  7. Rinse thoroughly with clean water, while simultaneously scrubbing the area
  8. Keep rinsing off until there is no white residue on the tiles
  9. Do not allow area to dry prior to completing the rinsing process
  10. Clean tools using water
