Application of an Acid Wash
If bought from us, the acid wash is the red chemical.
- If the tiles have been laid very neatly and there are no traces of grout or tile glue on the surface of the tiles this step may be avoided.
- Use DILUTED between 1:10(very dirty surfaces) or 1:30
- Always follow the manufacturer's recommendations when cleaning the tiles, as the acid used to clean the tiles can leave marks on the tiles if not diluted sufficiently.
- Apply to the surface with a sponge
- Allow 30 seconds contact time
- Scrub well using a firm bristle broom
- Rinse thoroughly with clean water, while simultaneously scrubbing the area
- Keep rinsing off until there is no white residue on the tiles
- Do not allow area to dry prior to completing the rinsing process
- Clean tools using water
